Under the auspices of the Erasmus+ Traineeships programme, Cecilia Neve Jiménez, a PhD student in Mathematics at the University of Seville, will carry out a three month traineeship with PragMatika at the Institute of Philosophy AV ČR.
Cecilia is pursuing her PhD under the co-supervision of José Ferreirós and Guillermo Curbera. Her stay is part of our official collaboration with the History and Philosophy of Physical and Mathematical Sciences research group at the US, whose head researcher is José Ferreirós.
Her research is focused on the historical analysis of the structure of the rational numbers given by sequences of pairs of integers satisfying the equation ps − qr = 1.
